My Story
For as long as I can remember I have wanted to be like the Proverbs 31 wife; lead by the Lord & richer than rubies. Once I was married I knew I wanted to settle into my role as a wife and homemaker, so I stopped working and focused on tiding my house, being a loving wife, and keeping my kids safe, healthy, and happy. As a very independent women I found this to be difficult at times as I wanted to feel like I was contributing to the family and I felt bad that my husband was "carrying the load". Through prayer, as well as talking to my husband and mentors I realized just how important my job is as a home keeper. My job is to raise up the next generation in our family and help them be devoted, loving servants of the Lord. Once I dug into Proverbs 31 a little more I realized that a wife's job is not only keeping the home, it is also entrepreneurship as well (Proverbs 31:16). This realization gave me a new perspective, I found that I can use my homemaking skills to provide for my family directly and financially, while helping others.
